Jinyong Lian

Jinyong Lian (b. Shenzhen, China) is an artist photographer and independent editor whose work explores psychological instability, interpersonal tension, and social control through metaphorical scenes and staged gestures. Drawing on her experiences as an Asian woman and queer, she examines alienation, rigid gender norms, and authority structures with a distinctive mix of humor, symbolism, and constructed imagery. Each photograph stands as an independent visual fable, inviting viewers to reflect on intimacy, subjectivity, and hidden societal pressures.
